Over the past few weeks I have been busy at work on a new branding design for my site & blog (with other collateral to follow there shortly). The site is still not 100% complete but should be ready for it’s official launch in the coming days/weeks. The idea behind the re-design was my desire to switch over to a new SCALER site offered by my website company Livebooks. My original Livebooks site had a fixed image size, with images being no more than 562px in height. The new scaler sites are designed to be optimally sized on all monitors. The images ‘scale’ up or down in size allowing the images to fill the monitor the viewer is using, no matter how big or small.
In the re-design I also wanted to keep things simple and have the images speak for themselves. So I picked a very simple black and white template that would allow the images room to breath.
The new site is not yet live; but if you want to take a peek at how it’s shaping up take a look here; http://www.goslingphoto-scaler.com.temp.livebooks.com/, and let me know your thoughts!
I’m still toying around with the homepage. Currently it has a slideshow of images playing (as is default for this site), but I could choose to make a custom static homepage. Thoughts?
The new blog design is already live. But any tweaks I need to make I can do so as we go along. But I am liking the consistency between the two a lot.
So what do you think?
